K's Rhythm

Light at the end of the tunnel, I can almost see it
But what a way to finish, no public holiday, can you believe it
I’m feeling like the sound of a bad broken record
But going through these last two months have been a record

Given me insight to what I should’ve been seeing
Gotten way too cozy in the work state of being
It’s not even about the lacking of pay anymore
You can stack them up as coins to stop the door
It’s just that I wish there was a better use of time
Better use I know, coz it’s finite in design
Which goes to highlight, how far will you go?
To earn the high dollars but sacrifice your soul

So I’m living for a better day and I can bank on that
Where there’s quality of life even when my pockets are flat

And I can hold on to that as a straight up fact
I got so many peers that will watch my back
And I thank you all for the love and support!
God knows I need it, get unstuck in my thoughts
Even more so for my wife, the special lady
Organising the surprise when my sky was shady

I love y’all and it brings real joy in my day
Knowing tomorrow’s the last and we can meet again

Here’s the second chapter, right from holiday after
Knew I would be hittin back after last week’s work disaster
And it’s tough knowing that something in this is so wrong
Mentally such a burden there and even when I’m gone

On and off, going from head to toe
Stress of another kind, something I gotta know
Am I a lion or a liar, when it comes to this place?
I hate being ‘alright’ and being a two face,
When I know something ain’t right, and I’m stuck in this plight
Getting by daily in the office like my ship is all tight
But it ain’t and I’m running out of tar to repair the ship’s bowel
It doesn’t look too pretty anyway, with the all that black now

So won’t You come and cut through the cloud of hazy gray
I know you ain’t finished but gonna work in amazing ways
Help me to be a lion and not a liar
I’ll wait for some clarity and the truth to transpire

Already few weeks into the storm of work
Busyness constant, unpaid form of work
Time is time, we all have the 24 hours
Trying to now grasp just how many are our’s
Especially with the schedule after business hours

In essence of it all, it’s really in His great hands
As His word stands, I’ll take promise in His plans
So here I go, raise the banner high up
Even with these struggles I’m far from given up
It’s a blessing to even have a job that’s stable
Looking around knowing that many aren’t able

I’ll take this period as just a stormy season
Pull out my umbrella and know that there’s a reason

The sun sets, the closure of the day
So whats been achieved in midst of sun rays?
Has it been a success or dismay?
Just a tick in the box or abundant today?

The sunsets on another regret,
Let go of the past and forget,
Of what would be or things that should be
Look forward to the future that could be

Yet again been another crazy week
Busy come busy, hit another peak
All the more reason a break I seek
So looking forward to the holiday beat

A review of the year thats soon to go by
What a whirlwind, as the events go by
But still we keep marching as time goes by
Much to celebrate as to 2009 I go bye
